Project Manager is a focal point within the GEP implementation team for the customer responsible for the design and deployment of the GEP SMART solution (Supplier Management, Sourcing, Contracts Management, Project Savings, Category Management and Procure to Pay) to meet customer business needs.
As a functional expert, they need to have the ability to understand customer needs from the solution and accurately comprehend these for coordinating the build, testing and deployment of SMART and associated business processes. Their primary responsibility involves building a complete project plan for implementation with the customer and ensuring that the right resources are aligned on either side to meet the project demands. They are often required to work within the technology framework and the product guidelines to solution the right approach and business process for the customer to ensure their needs are meet through an industry wide followed/acceptable solution with minimum or no customization to the product.
