What you will do

Project Manager is a focal point within the GEP implementation team for the customer responsible for the design and deployment of the GEP SMART solution (Supplier Management, Sourcing, Contracts Management, Project Savings, Category Management and Procure to Pay) to meet customer business needs.

As a functional expert, they need to have the ability to understand customer needs from the solution and accurately comprehend these for coordinating the build, testing and deployment of SMART and associated business processes. Their primary responsibility involves building a complete project plan for implementation with the customer and ensuring that the right resources are aligned on either side to meet the project demands. They are often required to work within the technology framework and the product guidelines to solution the right approach and business process for the customer to ensure their needs are meet through an industry wide followed/acceptable solution with minimum or no customization to the product.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with customers to develop a comprehensive implementation project plan.
  • Understand customer business needs and provide solutions that align with the product framework.
  • Manage customer stakeholders, ensuring their requirements and concerns are effectively communicated and addressed within the organization.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer, delivering cohesive and consistent responses on behalf of the team.
  • Co-own customer satisfaction with the Account Executive during the successful deployment of solutions.
  • Identify potential upsell opportunities with the client for the SMART suite.
  • Lead and support all aspects of deployment, including process configuration, feature and functionality demonstrations, user interface configuration, and user and supplier setup.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and various GEP departments, such as Technical Support, Sales, Engineering, and Product Management.
  • Oversee and manage GEP resources assigned to the implementation project.
  • Learn and become conversant in the features, functionality, and applicability of the entire GEP SMART suite, including Supplier Management, Sourcing, Contract Management, Project Savings, Category Management and Procure to Pay.
  • Possess expert knowledge in all areas of the SMART suite.
  • Build solution, customer, and industry knowledge by leveraging internal GEP resources and external client information.

What you should bring

 

  • Experience in managing technology implementation projects
  • Functional experience in procurement (preferably in the Procure to Pay space)
  • In depth knowledge of Source to Pay solution
  • Capable to solution complex business/procurement situations through a combination of functional and technology implementation experience
  • Ability to lead a team and to delegate and track project-specific tasks
  • Technology appreciator and ability to work with multiple teams in a start-up like setup to achieve end objectives
  • Project controlling which includes adherence to budget and resource planning
  • Evaluation of potential project risks and coordination with the client at project manager and stakeholder level
  • Focus on customer satisfaction and service
  • Excellent communication skills
