What you will do

The role of the Consulting Director is to identify, develop and manage client opportunities, ensuring that engagement work products and deliverables are of the highest quality to ensure client delight. You will direct the technical, business, and personnel aspects of consulting engagements and lead sales efforts both with existing clients and prospective ones. Apply your strategic consulting expertise in the areas of purchasing, supply chain management, Business process outsourcing and technology to take GEP to the next level and grow your own career!

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct and manage the overall and day-to-day business and technical
components of client projects from data collection to presentation of final deliverables.
• Assisting with Sales & Business Development activities.
• Working with senior management to develop selling tools for key clients.
• Manage relationships with clients, maintaining frequent and direct contact with CXO executives to provide flawless service.
• Identify, define, develop and implement techniques to improve engagement productivity, increase efficiency, mitigate risk, resolve issues and achieve cost savings for GEP and our clients
• Generate and manage revenue. P&L responsibility.
• Share in client, practice and performance management including project team management and the development of our team.
• Monitor and direct others to act in accordance with company initiatives, processes and methodology.

What you should bring

 

• 10+ years relevant work experience in a management consulting firm with a minimum of two years recent similar expertise in sourcing and procurement required
• Proven experience in leading or supporting business development
initiatives in the German market
• "Big 5" consulting experience highly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in the successful delivery of consulting
engagements with proven track record.
• Strong project/program management skills.
• Strong customer facing skills, ability to influence and motivate clients and
employees, excellent oral and written communication & analytical skills,
leadership skills, self-motivation.
• Experience leading large/complex programs
• Willingness to work on longer-term strategic client engagements (2–3-year
projects).
• Must be flexible to travel significantly
• Presence on client site in Cologne–Düsseldorf area up to 3 days a week
required.
