We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director of Solution Design to lead our Europe presales function. This strategic role is responsible for shaping and delivering compelling, value-driven solutions to prospective clients, while building and mentoring a high-performing team of solution consultants. The ideal candidate combines technical acumen, strategic thinking, and client-facing excellence to support enterprise sales and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and manage a global or regional team of solution consultants and architects.
- Develop and execute the presales strategy aligned to business goals, sales targets, and go-to-market initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the sales leadership team and contribute to pipeline growth and deal progression.
- Define and enforce best practices in solutioning, storytelling, and value articulation.
Sales & Solution Design
- Partner with Sales, Product, and Marketing to design winning solutions that meet client needs and showcase product differentiation.
- Lead high-impact client presentations, demos, and workshops, especially for strategic and high-value opportunities.
- Translate customer requirements into tailored, scalable solution proposals and value narratives.
Team Development & Operations
- Coach and mentor team members across all levels to enhance technical expertise, business acumen, and client engagement skills.
- Implement scalable processes, enablement programs, and onboarding to ensure team readiness and consistency.
- Monitor team performance and manage allocation of resources to support deals efficiently.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Delivery teams to stay informed on product roadmap, enhancements, and client feedback.
- Contribute to RFPs, pricing strategies, solution accelerators, and internal knowledge sharing.
- 12–15+ years of experience in solution consulting, presales, solution architecture, or related roles in enterprise SaaS or technology services.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role managing presales or solution consulting teams.
- Strong understanding of enterprise software sales cycles, especially within Source to Pay space
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and executive presentation skills.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders, drive complex deal strategies, and close enterprise deals.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant technical background a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with S2P, supply chain, value engineering, ROI modeling, or business case development.
- Experience supporting global sales teams or managing teams across geographies.
- Knowledge of modern SaaS platforms, APIs, integrations, and cloud technologies.
