What you will do

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. As an integral part of our IT Infrastructure, the successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing and resolving a broad spectrum of IT-related issues. From overseeing the IT infrastructure and maintaining security compliance to contributing to end-user computing projects, this role plays a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless and secure technology environment. 

Responsibilities 

  • Africa region SPOC: Serve as the primary liaison for all IT-related matters across multiple offices, ensuring smooth communication and coordination between local teams and global IT support. Provide technical assistance, manage user requests and support end users across the region to maintain consistent and reliable IT operations. 
  • Incident Management: Efficiently manage and resolve tickets related to IT Infrastructure, including Operating Systems, hardware, applications, Audio/Video Support, Asset Management, Networking, and Tech Tools support. Ensure timely closure of tickets in the designated tool, adhering to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs). 
  • Desktop Infrastructure: Build and install computers in accordance with departmental standards. 
  • User Management: Effectively manage end-users and resolve their IT-related issues, ensuring high satisfaction scores, including handling calls from Senior Management/VIP users. 
  • Security Compliance: Uphold a high scorecard on all security compliance parameters for end-user systems. 
  • Hardware Asset Inventory: Provide accurate changes to IT Hardware Asset Inventory through the IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) process, collaborating with the asset management team. 
  • IT Asset logistics: Facilitate procurement of laptops and peripherals for end users located in Africa region along with shipment and communication with POCs. 
  • Project Contribution: Contribute to and deliver end-user computing projects, aligning technology initiatives with business objectives. 

What you should bring

  • Exhibit fluent English and exceptional communication skills with a strong customer focus. 
  • Possess1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the IT support field. 
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of computer support systems and troubleshooting. 
  • Showcase fast learning capabilities with a keen attention to detail. 
  • Leverage strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. 
  • Exhibit effective problem-solving skills. 
  • Hold a preferred degree in engineering. 
  • Showcase the ability to prioritize and contribute to projects effectively, aligning technology solutions with overarching business strategies. 
  • Valid passport and availability for business trips (max 25% of your time)
