What you will do

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Associate Director – Procurement to lead the establishment and growth of our Shared Service Delivery Center in Torun, Poland. This role will be pivotal in setting up the center, hiring and developing talent, and ensuring seamless delivery of procurement services.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong Source-to-Pay (S2P) background and global procurement experience, but the primary focus in the early stages will be on building and leading the center—developing people, processes, and structure to create a world-class delivery hub. Over time, this center will expand in scope and integrate further into our Central Europe procurement team.

 

What you should bring

Center Setup & Growth

  • Establish and scale the procurement delivery center in Torun, including infrastructure, governance, and operating model.
  • Build and onboard a high-performing team, with focus on talent attraction, development, and retention.
  • Define and implement processes, controls, and best practices to ensure sustainable operations.

 

Leadership & Change Management

  • Provide clear vision, direction, and leadership for the Torun center, creating a strong culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Lead organizational change, building engagement and buy-in at all levels.
  • Serve as a visible leader, inspiring the team through the growth and transformation journey.

 

Procurement & S2P Expertise

  • Leverage S2P expertise to design efficient service delivery models, covering sourcing, contracting, purchasing, and transactional procurement.
  • Partner with global and regional category leaders to ensure alignment between the delivery center and business objectives.
  • Oversee key procurement operations, including sourcing events, supplier onboarding, and compliance management.

Future Integration

  • Prepare the Torun center for expansion of scope and integration into the Central Europe procurement team.
  • Champion digital enablement, process automation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 12+ years of progressive procurement experience, with strong expertise across Source-to-Pay (S2P).
  • Establishing or scaling shared service centers or procurement hubs id good to have.
  • Exceptional leadership and change management skills, with the ability to inspire and engage diverse teams.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to influence stakeholders in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Proficiency in procurement platforms (SAP Ariba, Coupa, or equivalent) and comfort with digital transformation.
