What you will do

The Vendor Engagement and Reliability Associate is responsible for managing relationships with external vendors, ensuring service reliability, and supporting operational excellence. This role acts as a bridge between internal teams and third-party partners, focusing on optimizing vendor performance, mitigating risks, and driving continuous improvement in service delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Vendor Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned vendors.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with vendor partners.
  • Facilitate regular business reviews and performance discussions.

     2. Service Reliability & Performance

  • Monitor vendor performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs.
  • Identify and escalate service delivery issues, working with vendors to resolve them promptly through the defined Incident Management Process.
  • Analyze trends in vendor performance and recommend improvements.

     3. Operational Support

  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes for vendors.
  • Maintain accurate records of vendor information, contacts, and performance metrics.
  • Implement and drive vendor incident management processes.

     4. Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for process optimization.
  • Lead or participate in projects aimed at enhancing vendor reliability and efficiency.
  • Gather feedback from internal teams and vendors to inform best practices.

     5. Risk Management

  • Proactively identify potential risks in vendor relationships and service delivery.
  • Support the development and implementation of mitigation strategies.

What you should bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Project Management, Vendor Management, Procurement, Operations, or a similar role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills - communicating clearly and precisely, ensuring that communications are tailored to the audience and free from ambiguity.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Approach challenges methodically by breaking complex issues into manageable components.
  • Effectively prioritise and coordinate multiple projects or responsibilities.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented Individual
  • Effective time management involves planning and allocating time appropriately to meet both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • A team player who can work independently but also contributes to a wider team.

 

“Nice to Haves”

 

  • Proficiency in Google Suite systems such as Google Slides, Sheets, and Gemini is a plus.
  • Experience in data centre operations or the telecommunications industry.
  • Experience effectively working with teams in remote and geographically dispersed locations, and an understanding of the inherent implications and challenges of working as part of a global team.
